Have you ever noticed that a lot of high fashion brands focus so much on aesthetics that their clothes and shoes are almost impossible to wear? It makes you think, can fashion actually be functional, or are we doomed to a choice between comfort and style? As you might have figured out, at 2ToneFit, we love fitness and fashion, which means we’re a big fan of both function and form. We don’t believe that fashionable clothes need to be uncomfortable or restricting, and we don’t believe that functional clothes need to be ugly or plain.
“Leggings Are the New Denim”
We’re not the only ones who feel this way, either. If you go on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and look up trending hashtags, you’ll find a large number of women using #leggingsarepants with their pictures of their favorite outfits for the gym, work, dates, or brunch with friends. Even the CEO of Nike has said, “Leggings are the new denim,” and we’re seeing more and more styles of stretchy jeans and jeggings than ever before. Basically, everyone is getting on board with the idea that fashionable clothes can be functional, too.
When You Look Good, You Feel Good
One of the biggest motivators for us when we started 2ToneFit was the idea that women could look good at the gym in high-quality, functional workout apparel and then walk right out in the same clothes and still look great. The rise of athleisure has definitely helped us out, as the fashion world is starting to catch on to the fact that women love feeling comfy and looking cute.
We look at it this way – when you look good, you feel good, whether you’re at the gym or in the office. And so many lines of gym clothes are so unflattering, ugly, and plain that it’s almost impossible to look good when you wear them. Knowing that you have to put on those ugly clothes to go work out isn’t exactly a motivator, but what if you could put on clothes that fit great, move with you, wick sweat, and look amazing? You’d want to wear them all the time, and you’d be a lot more motivated to go to the gym, right?
That’s why we founded 2ToneFit, and it’s why we’ve created a full line of women’s workout and athleisure apparel that you can enjoy wearing, whether you’re going to the gym, heading out for coffee, or for anything else in your daily life.
